What does this rule mean?

If Invoicing period (BG-14) is used, the Invoicing period start date (BT-73) or the Invoicing period end date (BT-74) shall be filled, or both.

A calculation/amount rule: the figures it names must reconcile arithmetically.

Where the rule applies

Syntax: CII · UBL

The same rule, expressed twice: UBL and CII name the same fields with different paths. Running a CII file against the UBL rules is why you get errors that mean nothing.

The rule passes when this Schematron expression holds true:

(ram:StartDateTime) or (ram:EndDateTime)
