BR-57

Each Deliver to address (BG-15) shall contain a Deliver to country code (BT-80).

What does this rule mean?

The deliver-to address (BG-15) is missing the country code (BT-80).

When a separate delivery address is given, it must state a country.

BT-80

Official rule message (standard)

Each Deliver to address (BG-15) shall contain a Deliver to country code (BT-80).

Where the rule applies

Syntax: CII · UBL

The same rule, expressed twice: UBL and CII name the same fields with different paths. Running a CII file against the UBL rules is why you get errors that mean nothing.

UBL

  • cac:Delivery/cac:DeliveryLocation/cac:Address

CII

  • /rsm:CrossIndustryInvoice/rsm:SupplyChainTradeTransaction/ram:ApplicableHeaderTradeDelivery

Technical test

The rule passes when this Schematron expression holds true:

(ram:ShipToTradeParty/ram:PostalTradeAddress and normalize-space(ram:ShipToTradeParty/ram:PostalTradeAddress/ram:CountryID) != '') or not (ram:ShipToTradeParty/ram:PostalTradeAddress)

How to fix it

A missing or incorrect business entry only you can supply. Add or correct it, then re-check.

Add the deliver-to country code.

Correct the affected entry in your XML, then re-check the invoice. Validation runs locally in your browser — your file never leaves your machine.
